Free Machining Brass C36000
Free Machining Brass C36000 is a leaded brass suitable for high-speed screw-machine work. It cannot be hardened by any heat treatment but it can be hardened by cold working. It has excellent machinability property and its machinability rating of 100, is the standard against which all other copper alloys are rated. In term of tool wear, cutting speeds & feeds and excellent fiinish, this alloy is the most economical and practical material available for use. It has good brazing characteristics and response well to soft soldering. Typical applications include adapters, valves, valve stems gears, pinions, screw machine products and plumbing ware fittings.
